Hi I’m Ruth, Clinical Director of the Children’s Physio.
I’m a Highly Specialised Paediatric Physiotherapist with over 15 years experience working with babies, children and teenagers. I believe in the importance of early intervention and work holistically to ensure each and every child can reach their maximum potential.
Prior to setting up The Children’s Physio, I worked as a qualified paediatric physiotherapist within the NHS and Private sector and have worked with neonates, babies and children across a vast scope of paediatric settings, in schools, communities, homes and hospitals including the prestigious Portland Hospital and the world-renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital.
I’m passionate about providing expert physiotherapy in an easily accessible way to all who may need it. With an in depth knowledge and understanding of child development and the conditions and injuries specific to childhood, treatments are effective and carried out with the full recognition of the improvement these have on the child and family life. Promoting physical independence and self confidence in young people is at the heart of my treatment philosophy.

Extremely happy with our initial consultation. Ruth is treating my 3 year old son, who was born prematurely. She came to us, which was very helpful. She thoroughly explained exercises that I can do at home with him, and gave me great advice. Overall an excellent service – I would definitely recommend The Children’s Physio!
We had a fantastic appointment with Lauren. She conducted a thorough assessment and was incredibly engaging with our baby, who took an instant liking to her! She took our anxieties on board and reassured us, and her expertise in this area was clearly apparent throughout. She also offered lots of invaluable practical advice that I have been unable to find anywhere else. I am so pleased we found the children’s physio and would highly recommend them.
Sarah was great. She took a full history and engaged with both myself and my son through. She offered a full face to face assessment and ensured that my son was comfortable throughout. The follow up exercises have come through and are clear and easy to follow. There is no pressure to continue using the services unless you want to. Brilliant.
