RUTH


Highly Specialised Paediatric Physiotherapist and Director of The Children’s Physio

Ruth has over 15 years experience working as a qualified physiotherapist within the NHS and Private sector and has worked with neonates, babies and children across a vast scope of paediatric settings, in schools, communities, homes and hospitals including the prestigious Portland Hospital and the world-renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital.

With an in depth knowledge and understanding of child development and the conditions and injuries specific to childhood, The Children’s Physio treatments are effective and carried out with the full recognition of the improvement these have on the child and family life. Ruth is an advocate for the education and empowerment of children and young people. Promoting physical independence and self confidence in young people is at the heart of her treatment philosophy.

Sophie has over 10 years experience in customer services and business administration. Her
friendly, professional manner means that no question or request goes unanswered and she
will quickly arrange a booking at your convenience or address any query you may have.





Sarah


Highly Specialised Paediatric Physio – Essex and East London

Sarah is a Highly Specialised Paediatric Physiotherapist.  She completed her physiotherapy training in 2008 and went on to specialise in Paediatrics in 2010. During her career she has practised in various NHS hospital and community settings across Suffolk, Essex and London, including the world-renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital.  Sarah has vast experience in treating children of all ages in a variety of conditions but has a passion for neurodevelopment in babies as well as neurological conditions.

Sarah is passionate about her work and helping children to be the best they can both physically and mentally, in a fun and friendly way.  She has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is able to build an instant rapport with children and their families.





Lauren


Highly Specialised Paediatric Physio – Surrey

Lauren is a Highly Specialised Paediatric Physiotherapist with over ten years of experience diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions.

Her areas of specialist interest and published research are primarily in the use of Physiotherapy in the treatment of Paediatric Rheumatological conditions and Chronic pain and with her expert knowledge has taught professionals nationally and internationally at conferences.

Having completed 4 years as a senior Physiotherapist in trauma and Orthopaedics she returned to her passion of Paediatric Rheumatology and was recruited by the world renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital where she has spent the last 7 years treating children of all ages with complex needs.

Lauren continues to work at Great Ormond Street Hospital whilst working for The Children’s Physio, which she thoroughly enjoys.

Lauren knows that children, and sometimes parents find physiotherapy tiring so strives to make every session fun and individualised for the needs and personalities of each individual patient/family.





Hayley


Highly Specialised Paediatric Physiotherapist – South West London and Middlesex

Hayley is a Highly Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist having specialised in Paediatrics since 2010. She has worked across Sussex and London including the most recent 7 years at St Georges University Hospital in Tooting in the Community and Outpatient departments treating neurological, developmental and musculoskeletal conditions. Hayley supported the Specialist Haemophilia service, Developmental Neonatal clinics and Orthotics clinics as well as working alongside the Neurodisability Team. She has supported the training and development of other Therapists in this area as well as 15 months managing the service.

One of Hayley’s greatest passions is in early years supporting the neurodevelopment of babies and young children. She understands that early intervention is vital for children to achieve their full potential. She prioritises in making therapy enjoyable and interactive, creating a positive experience for the child. Her approach is calm with clear communication, ensuring that both the child and their family are actively involved in treatment decisions and goal setting.





Harriet


Specialised Paediatric Physiotherapist – SW London, Surrey and Reading

During Harriet’s career she has worked as a Children’s Physiotherapist within the NHS across a range of paediatric settings; including homes, nurseries, mainstream schools and special educational needs schools. She has extensive experience working with babies and children of all ages with a variety of conditions.

Whilst working at the Children’s Physio, Harriet continues to work part-time as a Senior Physiotherapist at the Whittington Health NHS Trust. Harriet is passionate about Physiotherapy for neurodevelopmental conditions. She is a dedicated and thorough professional, always ensuring her treatment is fun and child centred.





Sophie T


Highly Specialised Paediatric Physiotherapist – North/North West London and Hertfordshire

Sophie is a highly specialist Physiotherapist who qualified at Brunel University in 2013. She specialised in Paediatrics in 2015 and has worked in both the NHS and Private settings. Sophie has treated children of all ages with a variety of conditions.

Sophie has a breadth of knowledge and experience working in the world renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital for 8 years. More recently, Sophie has predominantly been based in the Oncology and Immunology team leading the Bone Marrow Transplant service and is well equipped to treat patients with complex presentations and medical needs with an understanding and empathetic approach.

Sophie understands that Physiotherapy can be challenging and that every child is different. She always adapts her sessions to the individual needs of her patients and families. She is passionate about empowering children to feel in control of their physical and mental wellbeing.





Eloise


Highly Specialised Paediatric Physio – East London

Eloise is passionate about working with children and supporting them to achieve their potential in a fun and effective way. Having qualified in 2010 she has gone on to specialise in Paediatrics where she has a broad range of experience and expertise working with children of all age with a wide range of conditions.

Eloise’s natural rapport with children encourages interaction and engagement within sessions, she is enthusiastic, thorough and highly committed to doing her best for every child under her care.





Nikita


Highly Specialised Paediatric Physio – West & Central London

Nikita is a Highly specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist with over seven years of dedicated experience in supporting children with a wide range of neurological, developmental, and musculoskeletal conditions. She began her journey in paediatric physiotherapy in 2017 and later pursued an MSc in Advanced Paediatric Physiotherapy at University College London (UCL), graduating in 2021. Her career has taken her across London, where she has worked as a community physiotherapist, delivering care that is both comprehensive and compassionate.
Nikita has worked with families and children from diverse backgrounds and complex special needs, ensuring her care is culturally sensitive and inclusive.

Nikita’s expertise spans multiple specialist areas, including supporting Botox clinics for children with spasticity, Developmental Neonatal clinics, and Orthotics clinics. She has also worked closely with the Orthopaedic and Neurodisability teams, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to the care of her patients. Her experience in these clinics has given her a deep understanding of the complex needs of children with varying conditions, enabling her to offer tailored, effective interventions.

One of Nikita’s core passions lies in empowering children to reach their fullest potential in all aspects of life—whether at home, in school, or within their communities. She understands that while therapeutic intervention is critical, the child’s unique abilities, environmental factors, and social context are equally important in their overall development. Her approach to therapy is child-centred, focusing on making sessions engaging, and highly interactive. She excels at building a rapport with her patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and motivated throughout their treatment.

Communication is at the heart of Nikita’s practice. She places great emphasis on involving both the child and their family in every step of the therapeutic process. By encouraging collaboration and open dialogue, she ensures that treatment decisions and goal-setting are mutually agreed upon, fostering a supportive environment where children can thrive.
